However, I can't find a button to display a room in the background so that I can correctly align the path with the in-game path. Discord - Best for hanging out with the community. So I'm making a tower defense game in studio 2, and I need to use the path editor for the enemies.Intuitive controlls Change all room and views settings Drag&drop objects into the level Grid alignment. If you spot some issues anywhere else than with the DnD editor, please open an issue on this github page, or attempt to fix it yourself (then open a Pull Request to this repository). Previously we mentioned that when you have no view active in the Room Editor, GameMaker Studio 2 will set the game window to the size of the first room of the game, so now that we no longer set the view in the Room Editor, GameMaker Studio 2 is setting up the 'default' camera and view ports before our code takes over. The DnD editor, for instance, is not supported, and may be completely broken with the theme. There may be parts of gamemaker that are not covered by this theme. An easy way around would be to mark your room as persistent (roompersistent true) before transitioning to instructions room and unmark it after transitioning back. If this still doesn't work, shoot me (TonyStr) a DM over email, twitter or anywhere else. The reason this is not listed as the main theme path is that it depends on where your gamemaker installation lies (steam? program files? desktop?), and because it will be cleared with each GMS2 update, meaning you have to manually re-install it every time you update. If the install location, C:\ProgramData\GameMakerStudio2\Skins\Dracula does not work, you can try an alternative path: \GameMaker Studio 2 Desktop\GUI\Skins\Dracula. Installed the theme, but still doesn't show up in settings If you're feeling adventurous, install some other monospaced fonts from the internet, and try them out! I recommend trying "Roboto Mono", "Fira Mono", "PT Mono" and "Droid Sans Mono". This can be solved by going to "File > Preferences > Text Editors > Code Editor > Colours > Default", and selecting a monospaced font from the dropdown menu next to "Font Name". If you don't have the font, "Inconsolata" installed on your machine, gamemaker will default to some font that is not monospaced (characters have different widths, resulting in lines not aligning with eachother properly). ![]() All instructions can be found at /gamemaker-studio.
